Stock your refining workspace with two GTE chemicals used in gold recovery: urea and sodium metabisulfite (SMB). This two-bag bundle supplies chemicals for specific solution-treatment and precipitation stages of an established gold refining process.

What’s Included

• 1 lb GTE Gold Precipitant – Sodium Metabisulfite (SMB): Used to precipitate dissolved gold from properly prepared gold chloride solutions, allowing the recovered gold powder to be collected for further processing.

• 1 lb GTE Urea (aqua regia): Used in certain refining procedures to treat nitrous acid in solution. Urea does not dissolve gold and should not be relied upon to eliminate all excess nitric acid.

Both products are GTE branded and packaged in resealable bags.

Important Product Clarification

The urea bag may be labeled “Aqua Regia.” Its contents are solid urea—not premixed aqua regia, nitric acid, or hydrochloric acid.

This bundle does not dissolve scrap gold on its own and is not a complete refining system. Recovery results depend on the starting material, solution preparation, contaminants, and refining method. No specific yield or final gold purity is guaranteed.

• Appropriate refining acids, purchased separately

• Chemically compatible vessels and filtration equipment

• Gold-testing solution, such as stannous chloride
